According to foreign media XDA news, some foreign netizens have packaged the latest apk file of Google Street View application (Google Street View), and found a new field in the code called “Photo Path”. Code comments show that this feature allows users to “take a series of photos along the road or walking path” to generate a short photo collection to directly help other users navigate based on consecutive photos.

Previously, the Google Street View App tested the “driving mode” function, allowing users to use their mobile phones to record street views without a 360° camera, contributing to the Google platform.

The version of the Google Street View apk file analyzed by this user was 2.0.0.357726500. There is also an icon for the photo path function and a demonstration video in the file obtained by unpacking the apk. Due to the problem of GPS positioning accuracy indoors and in complex environments, this function can greatly help users navigate, by referring to a series of pictures in the mobile phone, walking along the path accurately, which is very intuitive and convenient.
