With the improvement of user demand, the demand for mobile phone screen proportion is higher and higher, and the major mobile phone manufacturers are constantly pursuing a more extreme comprehensive screen, and water drop screen, bang screen, perforated screen, lifting comprehensive screen and so on also emerge as the times require. However, from the perspective of structure, the camera under the screen should be the best solution in the era of full screen.
As for the off screen camera mobile phones, domestic manufacturers are following up one after another. Recently, letsgo digital has exposed a brand new appearance patent of Huawei mobile phone. From the patent point of view, the mobile phone adopts an under screen camera.
It is reported that the patent was submitted by Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. to the State Intellectual Property Office (cnipa) on December 15, 2020 and authorized on July 9, 2021.
From the patent figure, the mobile phone adopts a full screen design, and the screen frame is very narrow. In addition, there are no holes on the top of the screen, and there is only a 3.5mm headphone jack and earpiece on the top of the phone. It can be inferred that the mobile phone should have adopted an off screen camera.
There are no physical buttons on the left side of the phone, but there are two physical buttons on the right side, including SIM slot and power button. It has a microphone, a usb-c interface and speakers at the bottom.
The back design of the phone is relatively simple. The camera module is located in the upper left corner, with three cameras and a flash. It is worth mentioning that there are several design drawings for the camera module in the patent drawing, and the main difference is that the camera is located in different positions of the camera module.
However, this is not the first time Huawei has applied for a patent for the design of an off screen camera. In January this year, Huawei disclosed a design patent of using off screen camera. In addition to the off screen camera, the rear lens module of the patented mobile phone also adopts the matrix four camera scheme, which is obviously prominent from the side, or is equipped with a super large bottom main camera and a periscope lens.
From the patent published today, compared with the patent published in January, the patent should be aimed at the mid-range mobile phone market.
Of course, it’s not clear which Huawei’s first off screen camera mobile phone will be, and it’s not clear whether Huawei’s P50, which has been rumored for a long time, will use an off screen camera.
