Canon in Japan released a movie on January 26, showing the MR mixed reality glasses MREAL S1. The design of this product is very small and lightweight, but it integrates AR and VR functions, and there is an additional optical sensor next to the ear for location tracking.
The following is the product introduction:
Canon MREAL S1 is equipped with four cameras on the front to capture real-time images and sense spatial location. When the user uses it, the real picture is provided entirely by the camera. This product can only be used with PC. Canon said that this product is the smallest and lightest MR monitor in the world. MREAL S1 can be used for enterprises and design users, combined with CAD software and handheld control handles, can be used for simulation simulation operations. The weight of the display device itself is 137g, including the weight of the head beam is 338g.
Canon previously released the MREAL Display MD-20 head-mounted MR display in April 2020, but this product uses optical lenses to display realistic images and is much larger than the latest product.
At present, the Canon MREAL S1 MR mixed reality display is priced at as high as 38,000 US dollars, which is approximately 245,000 yuan. The official release date of this product has not yet been announced.
